One Day Exhibition

The Die Cast & Scale Model Society will be organising a One Day Exhibition at The Dolmen Resort Hotel Bugibba on the 22nd June in the Dolmen Hall, between 10am and 6pm. Entrance will be free of charge.

In this exhibition, one will find exhibited around 800 model cars of various types and scale, all of which are collections of the members of the club. Vintage, modern, rally, sport cars, vans, construction vehicles, and much more are some of the models that will be exhibited in scale that range from 1:64 up to 1:18. Attractions in this exhibition will me hand-made models, including some maltese vintage buses, painted in route colours as in the past. All amateurs of these models are urged to attend this exhibition and appreciate the collection by the club members.

The Die Cast & Scale Model Society, was founded in 2001 by late Tarcisio Saliba. Nowadays, the club is led by his son Alan. The club is invited to organise a small exhibition in various localities around Malta. The main aim of this society is that the members are all collectors of collectable model cars and exhibit these collections in the exhibitions organised. Nowadays, the club have around 50 members, from all around Malta and also a member friend of the club from Scotland.

The main activity organised by the club, will be a 4 day annual exhibition which will be organised in December at the Easysell Showroom in Qormi. In this exhibition, around 35 members exhibit their models for a total of 1500 different models, including also some dioramas.
