Two of Malta’s most compelling pianists come together for an evening of mesmerizing performances, blending minimalism, beauty, and exploration.

Renowned for her expressive command and fearless approach to contemporary and classical music, Gabi Sultana has been hailed as one of Malta’s most groundbreaking pianists. In this performance, she draws inspiration from minimalist giants like Philip Glass while reimagining their works with her own interpretive depth. Her set will also feature special pieces by composer Benjamin Van Esser, creating a sonic experience that moves between serene contemplation and electrifying intensity.

Opening the evening is Alex Zicotron, a versatile Maltese musician known for his work with electronic duo Spooky Monkey and his DJ persona, Dr. Zicotron. In this solo set, he pairs piano with a dynamic modular synth setup, engaging in a hypnotic dialogue between human touch and machine-driven sound. The result is a meditative yet ever-evolving soundscape, pushing the boundaries of musical exploration.
