Magnetic Parallels

Description:
Harpist Léa Roger, from Brittany, France, seamlessly blends Celtic traditions with experimental, classical, and punk influences.
Known for her unconventional approach, Roger amplifies the entire harp—playing not just the strings but also the body—while incorporating drum machines and electronic effects. By deconstructing classical frameworks, she transforms the harp into a shimmering source of textures, feedback, and tactile noise. Her sound blurs the boundaries between organic resonance and electronic manipulation, offering a deeply layered exploration of timbre and emotion.
Joining her is Peter Sant, a founding member of the renowned Maltese experimental rock band Hunters Palace. A filmmaker and musician, Sant’s multidisciplinary artistry fuses cinematic storytelling with experimental sound design, crafting immersive experiences. He is best known for his feature film Of Time and the Sea (2018), which premiered at FIDMarseille. His performances are defined by their atmospheric depth and innovative fusion of visuals and sound.
Sustain-Delay 2025 is produced by the Malta Society of Arts and Artistic Director Kurt Buttigieg, in collaboration with Arts Council Malta.
