Valletta Resounds: The Caravaggio Experience

Set within the breathtaking Oratory of St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta Resounds masterfully weaves together Caravaggio’s masterpieces, theatrical storytelling, and timeless classical music. Under the musical direction of Jacob Portelli, critically acclaimed Maltese musicians bring to life the works of Baroque masters such as Handel and Bach, alongside sacred Maltese compositions by Francesco Azzopardi and more.

The performance features the exceptional voices of esteemed sopranos Dorothy Bezzina, Hannah Tong, and Dorothy Baldacchino, accompanied by the rich sounds of the Baroque Harp, Baroque Violin, Baroque Cello, and Psaltery. The experience is further enhanced by the captivating narration of Fra Bartolomeo, portrayed by the ever-charismatic Jeremy Grech, who brings to light the fascinating tales of the Oratory.

This 40-minute concert begins at 18:30, with access to the Cathedral from 18:00 via the main entrance on St. John Street.
