Luigi Mancinelli Suite Sinfonica: “Scene veneziane” The MPO returns to the VIBF performing a number a number of works – from the 19th century to contemporary compostions. Strauss’ work represents his artistic and expressive maturity, Mancinelli melodically depicts Venice’s Baroque splendour whereas Malipiero tributes eminent composer Cimarosa in his composition. The two contemporary works by Gottardello and Fiorini, are inspired, in turn, by Bach’s monumental work and the ostinato – a trait of the Baroque era.
