An exciting and romantic voice and harp recital is going to be held at Palazzo Falson in Mdina on Friday 24th May 2019 at 12.30pm. Soprano Marita Bezzina and harpist Lydia Buttigieg will be performing an eclectic programme of well-known and favourite arias evoking flowing emotions.
Marita Bezzina will be singing Mascagni’s Voi lo Sapete o Mamma and Mozart’s vivacious Non so piu cosa son. Furthermore, the programme ensues with a Neapolitan song – de Curtis’ Come back to Sorrento, Schubert’s Ave Maria and Puccini’s all-time favourite O Mio Babbino Caro from the opera “Gianni Schicchi”. Lydia Buttigieg will provide delightful interludes on the harp with Bach’s Prelude in C minor for lute, J. Thomas’ Watching the Wheat and Saint-Saens Fantasie for Harp.
The concert will be held in Palazzo Falson, an interesting and unique museum which houses forty-five extraordinary collections which include paintings, silver, furniture, jewellery, Oriental rugs and armoury, as well as a remarkable library containing over 4,500 books, and some highly valuable manuscripts.
Entrance to the concert is at a suggested donation of 10 euro and patrons are invited to visit the museum at a discounted price. One can obtain the tickets prior to the concert from the venue itself or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
