Emvin Cremona: Dnub il-Mejjet and Abstraction

The Strada Stretta Concept, under the auspices of the Valletta 2018 Foundation, presents, the matinee' talk, 'Emvin Cremona: Dnub il-Mejjet and Abstraction', under the artistic direction of Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci. Emvin Cremona is one of Malta's most enigmatic modern artists. His reputation as a prolific church painter contrasts with the production of his pioneering abstract works. This problematic aspect of Cremona's oeuvre and the politics embedded in his artistic choices will be openly debated by Dr. Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci together with research student Nikki Petroni.
